What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Okay okay :)

Like I said, the few times it is funny it does hurt the corners of my smile, but over all it's an attempt at making a movie, and I'm being generous. Iron-Man Jason was just too awful. If the frozen face smash was as awesome as the caved in face punch in Punisher War Zone, I would give it a pass. But no.

my favorite part of that movie was the part with the parkour douches, and when one guy is flipping between buildings hes killed with a HOMING MISSLE.

BRILLIANCE. I laughed oh so heartily at that part.

If there is a WAR ZONE fan club, I'd join it. It's no RAID THE REDEMPTION, but it holds its own.

Amazing Spider-Man

Pretty good. I enjoyed it. Well acted, good fight scenes, good special effects. The Lizard scenes especially were well done.

I still didn't feel it was better than the Tobey McGuire films, though. And while I understand the desire to update the origin for a modern audience, I don't feel the updates were really all that necessary or changed the feel of it enough to warrant it. Nonetheless, it was a small complaint and wasn't a big enough deal to ruin the film or anything.

And the whole thing was well set-up for the epic Green Goblin/Death of Gwen Stacy story which it seems is going to be in the sequel story, if it merits a sequel.

Of course it will have a sequel, don't you remember the ending? And stop trying to hotlink from imdb you.

I highly doubt I'm getting an advanced screening of LOOPER. I'm bummed.

I wish the Oscars could give both Hoffman and Phoenix the Best Male Actor* award. It's going to be very interesting to see who wins the award, but my money is on Phoenix. The year is far from over and Day-Lewis may hit a home run, but Phoenix is downright stupid good and gave the performance of a lifetime, even though I still don't really understand everything that happens in THE MASTER and what the director wanted me to take from it. I'm sure I'm not the first to say this, but it reminded me of a Stanley Kubrick film.

*I really wanted to link this to john lovitz saying "Acting!"

The Lizard looks like the goombas in SMB The Movie. The actors are great, there is a great chemistry between Peter and Glen, and the movie isn't half bad. I thought the special effects were garbage, and that's my major complaint.

But if you are a fan of Spider-Man, it is definitely worth the price of admission. And not to give away any spoilers, but the movie is all set up that gives a "Here's what you need to know" kind of feeling.

Hate to say this, but it's a Spider-Man movie. You can't expect anything great.

Better? It was just the first one in a Google image search the first time, didn't realize.

Dead End is basically a "National Lampoon's Vacation" movie if the family hated each other more and there was a twisted, dark supernatural element to the whole thing. Occasionally scary, often hilarious. I give it an 8/10. Any Ray Wise fan would be doing themselves a favor by seeing this film.
