So here's some b-grade common games I enjoy.

Legendary Wings
I'm not going to say it's especially good, but I've always enjoyed it. I've seen it for sale for next-to-nothing at several game stores and garage sales. My brother and I occasionally get to near the end for nostalgia. It's got vertical Shmup and side-view Platformer rail-shooting sections. It isn't very rare so it might be up your alley.

B-Wings
By itself it's not too common, but if you happen to see a pirate multi-cart, I bet it's on there - probably Contra thrown in as well.

This is one from my childhood that I've recently re-acquired. I can vouch for this one, for sure. A unique shoot-em up that's well made, and challenging.
