I recently acquired a jump pack for the Dreamcast, but a lot of the games I've tried playing don't seem to support it. So far the only games I've tried that support it are Skies of Arcadia and Ikaruga (or was it Gunbird 2? I can't remember).
Is there a list anywhere of all the games that make use of the rumble pack? Thanks.

Re: Dreamcast jump pack
Most Dreamcast games support the rumble pack, but it's disabled by default in almost every game I own. Try checking the options menus.

Re: Dreamcast jump pack
I got two of them for a buck each... They're kinda underwhelming how they use rumble in the DC games compared to all other systems that use rumble.
(FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

Re: Dreamcast jump pack
If you insert two at the same time, do they both work?

I have an official Jump Pak and the MadCatz one. Madcatz has a far stronger rumble sensation; about the level of a DualShock controller. The official one....meh. Barely anything. Don't really understand why, but oh well.D.D.D. wrote:I got two of them for a buck each... Also, no you can't use two at once. They have fat "heads" and won't fit next to each other in that configuration. You can be dumb and put a rumble pack in the first slot if you want, although it doesn't lock in.
Re: Dreamcast jump pack
It wouldn't be possible to insert 2 jump paks on a single controller without some amount of modification.
Re: Dreamcast jump pack
My official Jump paks have great vibration feedback! It varies from game to game which seems natural to me. It works great for games like Hydro Thunder, Power Stone 2, Illbleed etc. Not so much for games like say Marvel 2 and quite frankly that's alright by me.
Re: Dreamcast jump pack
It's still a lot weaker than on PS1/PS2. It's not bad per se, just lacking.CD AGES wrote:My official Jump paks have great vibration feedback! It varies from game to game which seems natural to me. Re: Dreamcast jump pack
If such is the case, just opt for a "Performance" 3rd party brand jump pak. I personally don't like these because their vibration feedback is a lot stronger than the Official ones Sega produced. It's still a lot weaker than on PS1/PS2. It's not bad per se, just lacking.
Re: Dreamcast jump pack
Look on the back of the game case, you'll see the "Jump Pack Compatible" symbol. If it's not a complete copy, look in the options menu for "Vibration".
