Think of it as sort of Zelda-ish, but with transformations instead of items, more focus on fighting than puzzles (but puzzles are still there), and pretty short. It's fun, and you can find it pretty cheap nowadays. Definitely not worth the $60 at launch, but Amazon has it for $2.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:My friends and I in 8th grade or so used to play the shit out of that game from after school to 3am every other week or so. Definitely on my list to get.
Kameo looks pretty interesting but I've never played or even seen it outside of the internet. Anybody have input on that one?
Any good 3D platformers/run and guns for 360?

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is worth a go. I've been out of the 360 loop for a few years too (though not quite so many as you, Ryan) but that's what I remember as far as 3D platformers go besides Kameo.
On the XBLA side of things, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are excellent ports of the N64 games if you haven't already played them on the 64. The improved framerate is quite noticeable in Tooie, and the graphics overall are sharpened and edges are smoother.

I'm going to wait with my fingers crossed in the hope that we'll get the enhanced remake on the 360 like with the first game. Sandlot was supposedly working on it, no?Satoshi_Matrix wrote:If you like Earth Defense Force 3: 2017, mod your PS2, get a TV that can accept 50Hz signals, and import this bad boy:
Global Defense Force (Earth Defense Force 2) is like 2017....but better.

Something a while back said they were working on EDF 4. Not sure how true that is, or what in the heck it would be named...

No. There is no remake of EDF2. Sandlot ported it to the PSP last year. That's probably what you're thinking of. The PSP port is the same game with reworked controls to accommodate the lack of the second stick. I play it by using the face buttons as a psudo d-pad, kinda like Smash TV on the SNES. The PSP version is quite impressive for the handheld, but you can notice a graphical downgrade to get it accomplished. Still, it's EDF2 on the go, and EDF2 is the best EDF. Import the PS2 version. It's awesome.Gunstar Green wrote:

Sandlot has announced EDF4 though. No news on when that'll come out.

360 will be arriving today and Kameo is in the mail. Have Dead Rising and Project Gotham 3 to keep me entertained for the week till they arrive.

The only problem I have with it is nigh on unreadable text on my old tube.
