Wii WiFi Error Code 52232
I recently moved back to college for the new school year, and this year, I am living in a hotel room instead of the dorms. When I was setting up all my stuff, I was able to connect my laptop, PS3, DS Lite, and phone to the hotel's wireless network without a hitch, but for some reason, my Wii simply refuses to connect. I get an error code (52232) whenever it tries to test the connection. I looked on the Nintendo website for this error code, and it says that you have to assign a manual IP address. But, to do this, I need to know what brand of router is being used, and since this is a hotel, they hide the routers for obvious reasons. I find it odd that my DS Lite was able to connect, but the Wii was not. Can someone help me out here? Also, the room has no Ethernet port, so using a wired connection adapter is out of the question.

Go into command prompt and type ipconfig, it will give you your ip (obviously don't use the same address as your PC) / subnet / gateway.

I tried that, but I still got the same error code. Also, I noticed that when I ping the IP I designated from my computer during the connection test, it returns data successfully, but i still get the error on my Wii.emwearz wrote:Go into command prompt and type ipconfig, it will give you your ip (obviously don't use the same address as your PC) / subnet / gateway.

Unfortunately the problem is in how the router is firewalled.
You can try to get around it by turning your laptop/computer with a wireless card into a wifi hotspot and connecting to that instead.

Aha! I got it working by just repeating the connection test over and over until it worked! Not the most elegant solution, but I'm not complaining!

Next time, Nintendo's site has an error code look-up database.

Thanks, but I said in my first post that I had already tried that.D.D.D. wrote:Next time, Nintendo's site has an error code look-up database.
