Decided to stop up at my local pawn shop:

Die Hard-NES
Ghostbusters II-NES
The Simpsons Bart vs. The Space Mutants-Nes
Legend of the Mystical Ninja-Snes
Picked those up for the grand total of 17.56

(I also didn't realize how much Die Hard for the Nes is going for, I wasn't even going to pick it up until the owner told me I needed some more Bruce Willis in my life lol)

Then later that day my girlfriends cousin game over and saw that I had a game room. She preceded to say that she had a box of Nintendo games and a system that she would love to give to me as a birthday gift. Of course I offered to pay her but she said nope its a gift.

I figured it was just going to be a toaster oven nes but boy was I wrong.

I opened up the box and it was a freaking TOP LOADER! I have been trying to track one of these down for years. They just play nes games so much more beautifully in my opinion.

2 original controllers, one max controller, and of course the famous dog bone controller.

Games:
Super Mario Bro's/Duck Hunt
Super Mario 3
ExciteBike
Anticipation (love the artwork for this game btw lol)
Punch Out
Trog!
SuperSpike VBall
Caveman Games (loving it)
Viper
California Games
Ninja Turtles 1 and 2
Wrestlemania Challenge
Legend of Zelda
Pac Man (Tengen)
Double Dribble
4 and 1 Quattro Adventures
Arch Rivals

All game with Sleeves, Manuals, and Inserts/Posters.

Days like that only reinforce why I collect retro games.

^ Nice score, Kahokian!

Code Name: Viper is excellent. Seems really tough at first but once you get the hang of it it's a totally doable clear.
and Trog is freaking Amazing in two player mode

Thanks! I keep trying to post a pic but for some reason it will not let me upload the file!!! I know I never heard of Trog before and I have yet to try it out. The artwork is the shiznit lol. I love the artwork of the nes games. Do you happen to know by chance why Die Hard goes for so much? I figured it was released towards the end of the NES life so maybe it didn't sell so many units?

had a couple nice finds today, first was a CIB logitech driving force GT CIB for $8! when I saw the box I quickly opened it to check the contents, looks like it was never used! there is still even one of those peel off plastic things on the center button of the wheel. Has every thing, wheel, pedals, AC adapter and manual/driver CD. It will make a decent replacement for my recently sold G25, I mean its not nearly that nice, but this isnt bad at all lol.

Then stopped at one of my normal places and found this:

Super minty, the case is perfect, and the disc looks like it was never played. Payed 5.99.

Goodwill:

Dragonball Z Budokai 1: PS2 $3.50
Dragonball Z Budokai 3: PS2 $3.50

Fable: The Lost Chapters: Xbox: $3.00
Simpson's Road Rage: Xbox: $3.00

Both Budokai games have heavy scratches, so I'm going to take them to a disc resurfacing joint to see if that helps (I don't have a ps2 to test at this very moment either)

Goodwill actually had some games today! They had a decent sized stack of NES games and a big stack of oXbox games (all sports though of course). Nothing too fancy but I did grab a few that I thought looked neat:

Puss N Boots
Roadblasters
Mickey's Safari in Letterland (w/ sleeve and manual)
P.O.W Prisoners of War

They were $3 each. That in itself is always exciting to me because they usually charge $5 each for games, but every now and then someone will price them differently.

Caught up with some friends last night for some sega. I noticed a new game in their collection. Turns out it came from a pawn shop and the new owner said it didn't work and that I could have it - ended up with this bad boy (he paid $4.00) - (and of course had it working with a bit of TLC)

I went to said pawn shop this morning. It was mostly chaff, sports games, Alex Kidd and JP, but got this for a fiver:Image
In the silver box, complete with instructions and silver cart.

The pawn shop had a Mega Drive 2 as well... asking price? $179.00, yes seriously.

EDIT: I haven't been around for a long time, but I've had a few sweet deals in that time which I will note here:

Original Playstation with no controller but with cables, and also cables for a PS2 - $2.50

PS2 black slim with Buzz: The music quiz, some other game, cables and controller - $2.00 (really needed one of these too and was holding out for the right price, which I got!)

Road Rash 3 complete - $5.00

And I saw a saturn in a pawn shop with the round buttons, which I didn't have. They wanted $100 and I got them down to $85, not a steal but I was pretty happy.
