You obviously don't want anything that will make your hands messy, so things such as Cheetos are out of the question. Personally, my and my friends swear by rainbow Twizzlers. They pretty much single-handedly fueled me and my friend's play through of Tales of Symphonia. :)

Basically this. Sometimes pretzels too if it's going to be an extended session late at night.

I never eat while playing games. Sounds kind of gross to me actually. But that's probably a personal hang-up. I do enjoy a tall glass of Pepsi Max and a bowl though. But even the smoking is reserved for pause breaks or cut scenes.

That can be solved by putting your messy or fiddly small chips and snacks into a short wide cup.

Nothing that gets crud all over my controllers / keyboard, so I avoid gooey stuff, chips with flavor powder, et cetera. Maybe some bread like a bun or something with coffee. That stuff's tasty and won't gum up my controllers. =)

Eating peanuts, almonds or something like a trail mix out of a bag or cup is a great, non-messy snack

Also - Corn Nuts, raisins, granola bars, shrooms... oh wait.. probably not shrooms lol

You and I eat peanuts very differently. If you're not wearing a shirt made of peanut dust and shame, why bother at all?
