Which do you prefer most of the time.
I use headphones a lot:
iPod during walking at lunch (downtown) and evenings (I live by a park)
At work
and right now my in-laws are living with me (for one more week)
But I do love my speakers.
Headphones or Speakers?

i must pick speakers..but unfortunetly i dont get many chances to turn the volume up as much as i like wich is really a shame since i got a good set of speakers and a powerful amplifier

so headphones are useful but they can never beat a good set of speakers.

I love the sound of headphones... like the noise is right inside of your head.
But I actually rarely use them. I drive everywhere (South Florida isn't much of a walking state) or I'm in areas I shouldn't be listening to them (school). Hence why I don't own an ipod.
At home, work and in my car I use speakers. BIG LOUD speakers. Not these lil' ones, but like home theatre size ones. My supervisor at work says she thinks I may be deaf... well I think that's what she said; she forgets I need to see her lips to understand what she says.

Not to start some flame war... but I'd just like to know why headphones are better quality in your opinion? As I feel speakers are better quality.Mr. Scarecrow wrote:Depends. As a rule I use headphones because it's simply better quality. At home I use my stereo system because of all the cash I dumped into my subwoofer.

Sorry. Phrased that wrong. My individual pair of headphones are better then most speaker system I come across.Mozgus wrote:All speakers are better than all headphones?lordofduct wrote:Not to start some flame war... but I'd just like to know why headphones are better quality in your opinion? My Sennheiser headphones are usually praised for their bass, but there's no way they can top the bass of my speakers -- headphones can't make you feel bass throughout your bodyMr. Scarecrow wrote:Sorry. But sometimes headphones are better for small details since there isn't much interferance.
