What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Already?
The cast alone is in itself a spoiler.

RED HOOK SUMMER

It's Spike Lee being Spike Lee, which I've seen before. He doesn't do anything new with Red Hook Summer. I like Spike Lee's films, but this was a little more weird and annoying than usual. And like most Spike Lee movies, the main character does a lot of thinking and talking about the current state of things.

Eh. It wasn't bad, just the same ol' same ol. And please, someone give Mookie a raise.

A very stupid but insanely entertaining... sci-fi slasher comedy film? Also, the DVD was apparently a VHS port and to be fair... it enhances the experience.

it's been a few years since I last watched, but doesn't the title screen on the DVD even still have the "Killbots" title?

There is a CHRISTMAS STORY 2 movie that is so awful I won't even post the trailer. A piece of me died while simply watching the trailer. They took one of most beloved family classics and make it look like an awful 80's sitcom.

I think so, but it's definetely a VHS port. However, it still looks pretty good (I saw the 3D version of Clash of The Titans and instead of looking like a high budget fantasy movie it looked like a snuff film  . So yeah, films released as recently as 2009 can look awful.).

technically there's been several Christmas Story sequels, guys. The movies are based on books, and most of them aren't called "Christmas Story," but have the same family of characters.
A sequel involving Ralphie and his family, titled My Summer Story (alternate title It Runs in the Family) was made in 1994. With the exceptions of Tedde Moore as Ralphie's teacher (Miss Shields) and Jean Shepherd as the narrator (the voice of the adult Ralphie), it features an entirely different cast. A series of television movies involving the Parker family, also from Shepherd stories, were made by PBS, including Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss, The Great American Fourth of July and Other Disasters, and The Phantom of the Open Hearth.

At first i thought like, someone had dug up some little-known straight to video sequel from like, the 90s or something...

...but no. This is a release from 2012. A CHRISTMAS STORY 2... who on earth thought that would be a good idea? This is surely the worst idea since Sandlot 2...

Yeah, but this is "The Official Sequel" as the movie tells us a few times. I doubt Jean is involved and there is some crap ass narrator. It looks worse than the Sandlot 2, and that says a lot.

edit* Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss was actually quite good.

Oy... the Sandlot 2. I remember seeing that somewhere and just being floored as to why someone would make a sequel to that. I think there's even a Sandlot 3!
