Silent Hill: Book of Memories

Book of Memories is a dungeon-crawler and a spin-off of the main Silent Hill series. The developers have touted it as the "first multiplayer Silent Hill title". Although, I want to say that the Silent Hill Arcade rail-shooter was multiplayer but I'm not 100% certain.

This game is already pretty much universally hated by everyone and their mothers. Of course they can't get it through their thick skulls that this is a spin-off title. Silent Hill spin-offs can work; believe it or not.

Anyway, I'm excited for this title and it is just one reason amongst many others why I want to pick up a Vita. What do you guys think?

 No responses.

For anyone that's interested, you can check out the soundtrack. It's been available since March (I think; or whenever the first release date was before the game got delayed).

Not really interested. But after it is out for a while, if people seem to be digging it, I may check it out.

I'm interested, specially with the fact that it's an action horror RPG with weapon damage. It must be pretty challenging to balance out what you should use and what you should avoid.

I almost forgot I made this thread. lol

Book of Memories is an okay game. It is a basic dungeon-crawler with a Silent Hill theme.

If you have a Vita it is worth checking out if you like Silent Hill... don't expect mind-blowing gameplay though. It really is just an average title.

Fuck no. You want a multiplayer dungeon crawler for PS Vita? Buy Dungeon Hunter: Alliance. Don't support this garbage. If you care about Silent Hill, you don't want to play a fucking multiplayer RPG "spin off". If you like multiplayer RPGs, there's no reason to buy a substandard game like this when there are games like Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2.

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I played the demo and liked what I played. I'll get this for around $10.

It's the same thing as taking Trolls 2 or some equally awful movie, and calling it Citizen Kane 2, The Empire Strikes Back 2 or Schindler's List 2. As long as this game has the name "Silent Hill" in it's title, it will be pure garbage, simple as that. If it didn't try to pretend to be something it isn't, it would be a different case.

Silent Hill, the modern-day Shakespeare.
