i got a japanese complete copy of saturn bomberman instead of the US version and i'm proud of it.

I got my JP copy wicked cheap.

ya i think a year ago i paid like $13 shipped from japan for mine complete with spine and regi, unfortunately it is the saturn selects version, but now checking ebay man have the prices gone up on that one. if you are looking to save money by importing the Japanese versions probably should do it soon as most people have figured out that alot of the jpn versions are so much cheaper and are opting for those.

but from what I've heard Saturn emulation doesn't work quite well yet so I would like to try playing the game with burned discs and then see if it's a gem worth investing in.

Saturn emulation through SSF has been practically perfect for years.

And you can do PC video out to the TV if your video card supports it. Add a USB Saturn controller and you're golden~
