I had a terrible game related nightmare last night

Post by scarper »

In the nightmare, I was in a book store. There was a section filled with old video games, so being a Genesis collector, I went over to take a look. Found some reasonable deals: Flashback for $6, Maximum Carnage for $7, both in the case w/ manual. Decent condition. But then, I saw a copy of Super Street Fighter II in the box, for $125. I went on my phones internet to see if this was a rip off... But it was not... The cheapest deal on ebay was $134, without the case. After a shock of fear went straight through my chest, I woke up. Worried for the future.

If Super SF2 for Genesis was that much that means SF2: SCE must've been like a thousand dollars  .

My game related nightmares usually involve my collection being lost in a fire or a flood or something of that nature. I probably subconsciously think about it too much because I've had dreams like that more than once. It's always a great relief to wake up when that happens.

Not terrible but, when I got LOZ:TooT for N64, I played it for about 6 hours the first night to about 3 in the morning after work.
The nightmare was that I was essentially Link and I was fighting a fire monster. Then I suddenly whipped it out and proceeded to piss on it to extinguish it.
I woke up what felt like a second later having the urge to take a wicked leak and hobbled to the can and felt like I set a new record for pissing time.

Once I played Super Metroid late into the night and started hallucinating that metroids were camping outside the bathroom when I needed to pee and I didn't have the ice beam.

Once I dreamed I'd bought a ton of games at a great price.

Then I woke up before I could play them. It was quite disappointing.

I think I've had the typical nightmare that every retro gamer has had: Finding a ton of awesome stuff, only to wake up and realize that it was never real.

AFAIR, Conker wasn't out in '98. But I get how you could think Conker.
