Looking back the first thing I thought was that the tv needed to be bigger and you should look into sharp's giant sets, which it looks like you've done. Is that the 60 or the 70"?

Re: GT's Media Room
The one I have is a 70". Specifically, Sharp LC70LE847U 70-inch 3D LED TV.
Maybe in a few years I'll get the 80" once prices have come down.
I haven't used the 3D capability of the TV yet (I do have a couple of 3D glasses) nor have I used the built-in apps (the HTPC does everything).
I haven't done much gaming with the set although my kids have. Mostly I've been catching up on TV shows that I never watched. Currently watching Deadwood.

At that size, wouldn't it be better to get a projector? It looks like your TV space can hold a screen size larger than 80"...

The issue I have with a projector is that you need the room to be dark in order to view it. It can be light out and the picture is still great on the TV.
I think 80" is about the max because then I will start interfering with the speakers (could always move them). I might also have issue with the vertical distance (too close to the counter and the ceiling).

True or at least some light curtains if the projector is bright enough.
