save up your coins!

nintendo is releasing a golden nunchuck.

http://www.pressthebuttons.com/2012/08/ ... nchuk.html

it takes about 900 coins!

I think some of you here have enough of them.

It would be nice to own.....But I fear EBAY is gonna take a pretty penny from us to own it after it sells out :(

It's already happening.

It'd be cool to have one to go with my gold Zelda Wii remote but I wouldn't want it that bad. haha

uh oh! It looks like someone's loose lips is to our(?) benefit?

http://www.thetanooki.com/2012/08/27/pd ... unch-date/

we know this day is comming. But now we have a date for us to take a day off from work or play hooky from school so we can pick up nintendo's newest console.

Which I'm pretty sure it will be sold out for this comming holiday season.

oh well, happy hunting!

The Wii and PS3 launch taught me a valuable lesson: if you want to own a console at launch or even just in the first two months of existence, you need to pre-order and pre-order early. Don't even try to buy it the normal way unless it's a handheld.

How Virtua Fighter created the PlayStation

Post by jfrost »

Didn't really know where to post this, mods could move the topic if it fits better elsewhere.

The article explains how, at first, the PlayStation was conceived as a 2D machine. Then Virtua Fighter came along and showed Sony the light.

Quite interesting.

“With great timing, Sega saved our hides,” Maruyama said.
That's awesome.

Like the link says. MS is intersted in renewing rare's IP.

The simplest way to do this is an HD remake.

Even better would be to make a whole new game from scratch.

I played the SNES game back in the day and I never looked into the N64 one.

But any new fighting game would be interesting to try.

if they still have all the assets, i wonder if they could simply re-render all the sprites and backgrounds in a higher resolution?

That's insane. The SimCity 2000 city I've been playing for four years no longer seems so impressive.
