Not sure how I feel about RE3 right now. I don't hate it, but I can't seem to get into it for more than 20-30 minutes at a time. Kinda frustrating. :?

I loved RE2, but feel the same way as you about RE3. I bought it from PSN to play on the move on my PSP, but just can't seem to get into it at all. I think it's a good game, though, however perhaps it just isn't for me, which is strange given my love for its prequel.

Anyway, back OT, i've started playing Alien Soldier on my PSP. Two thoughts jump out at me:

1) This game is made of pure awesome. Difficult in a good way, and demands absolute mastery of its brilliantly thorough and flexible control setup.

2) My productivity is going to go through the roof, as i'll be too scared to play Alien Soldier because it's so difficult, and demands absolute mastery of its brilliantly thorough and flexible control setup.

I'm giving Darksiders 2 another shot after hearing about an upcoming patch fixing a lot of the game's issues as well as removing the save copy lock on the PS3 version. It's nice to see a company listening to the fans. I still find the fifty billion bits of DLC for this game off putting though. DLC for liking the game on facebook, pre-order DLC, DLC for joining the THQ community, DLC for buying the collector's edition, vouchers for DLC that isn't even out yet, PC exclusive pre-order DLC, retailer DLCs, etc, etc. At this point it seems literally impossible to actually get ALL of the content for this game. People complain about DLC a lot this gen, but I don't think any game has ever gone as overboard with it as as Darksiders 2. This game is the poster child for the DLC problem this generation

I'm also playing Papo y Yo. Again, another game with annoying copy save lock, but I'm not gonna sweat it for a short, simple puzzle based PSN game that I probably will only play through once for the experience. Still, this growing trend towards locking save data is really pushing me farther and farther away from the PS3 just on principle. I don't see myself playing many more PS3 titles in the coming months. Guess it's only the 360 and the Wii going forward.

Anyway, I'm enjoying Papo y Yo so far. It's got a nice surreal quality to it and a real diversity not seen in a lot of games with a colored main character and an ethnic flavored environment. I really hate the hint boxes though. I grabbed the first two or three I came across in the game before realizing that they kind of ruin the puzzles. So I ignore them now

Treasure Adventure Game, which was a free download from GOG. It's surprisingly good. Very reminiscent of Cave Story. Great adventure/platforming game with a lot of attention to the little things and it's pretty obvious this game was a labor of love.

I find using Melia and keeping two earth summons up really helps with any difficult boss fight. you take like half the damage when you do that. Equipping sharla with every healing move plus the ability that removes the cooldown on all her arts is a no brainer if you're struggling too. I'd normally recommend riki as a third, just layer the enemy with poison, bleed, burn, freeze and watch the hitpoints drain out of him over time. Riki can also serve as an OK back up healer.

What level are you anyhow?

Assuming this can run on a really, really low tech PC, I might give it a shot sometime. I didn't even remember having an account with them until I read this post. Some genres are easy sells for me and this game falls into that category
