Surveillance was a solid, completely disturbing film by David Lynch's daughter. Very interesting

Hey Luke, I forget if you've talked about it before, but since we're talking about old movies getting new sequels, what's your take on the new Bill & Ted that's supposedly in the works?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I'm perplexed. I would love a new Bill and Ted, but not with the current script. Well, the "current script" is oooooooooold, so hopefully things have changed. The premise is that Bill and Ted need to write the song that saves humanity, and our planet. Well, they already did that in the sequel, so lets shake things up a bit please. And Chris Rock? Love the guy, but he is a terrible, terrible actor. In all seriousness, he could very well ruin the movie.AppleQueso wrote:Hey Luke, I forget if you've talked about it before, but since we're talking about old movies getting new sequels, what's your take on the new Bill & Ted that's supposedly in the works?
In short, I think this should have been made decades ago but still have some hope that I could get a few laughs. A third installment to Bill and Ted could work if the story plays to the fans, and isn't just set out to reboot a franchise (which I believe is what Robocop is set out to do, while Dumb and Dumber may just be a complete re-hash).
But seeing as our boys will probably be 50 when this is released, I just don't think it bodes well. As with the GHOSTBUSTERS, either close the final chapter or pass the torch. And passing the torch will mean a swelling of rock bands and dudes getting away with wearing mesh low crop t-shirts.

Just watched Inception again for the first time since I saw it in the theater. It doesn't hold up near as well to a second viewing as I'd have hoped.

Does JGL still flop around in a tilt a whirl set? Inception is fine and dandy.dsheinem wrote:Just watched Inception again for the first time since I saw it in the theater. It doesn't hold up near as well to a second viewing as I'd have hoped.
I say Good Day to you sir.

It is still remarkable film making from a technical standpoint, but an extra opportunity to consider the nuances of the plot and the phoned in performances of the cast turned out to be a bad thing.Luke wrote:Does JGL still flop around in a tilt a whirl set?
