I recently bought a tv and of course i decided on a led 1080p set which is beautiful but the big thing was should i wait and get a 120 hz set or take the 60hz which will be cheaper and i'll have it quicker.
I guess having the 120hz set is the best since you can switch from 120 to 60 but to be honest although there may be some motion blur and or lag I notice that blurays or gaming looks fantastic and to be honest the 60hz seems more realistic while the 120 seems cool but kinda strange.
What do you guys think?

120hz will give you support for actual 24fps in blu rays. It's nice to have.
That "strange" look on the 120hz set is just a result of smoothmotion/motionflow/whatever turned on. It's entirely optional. I can't stand that look personally, so I leave it off on my tv.
So yeah I'd go with the 120.

Re: Hdtv 60hz or 120hz
I would never get a 60hz HDTV. 120hz is important for playing 24fps videos, as someone already said.
Also recommended is turning off the smoothing garbage that HDTV makers put on there. That is important for the picture to both look right and to reduce input lag for gaming.
