Well it's definitely one of the most varied, contains some of the most influential(and expensive) titles I've ever seen, and is very prolific. It also spans the entire spectrum, ranging from the great, like the Street Fighter series, to utter trash.
Honestly, give me a minute here...
56 SNES titles, 43 of which are fighters
5 Xbox 360 titles, 1 of which is a fighter
18 PS1 titles, 2 of which are fighters
8 Nintendo 64 titles, none of which are fighters
3 NES titles, none of which are fighters
43 PS2 titles, 9 of which are fighters
Wow...I have more PS2 games than I thought...
But as for what's on the way...
10 Nintendo 64 titles, 9 of which are fighters
26 Sega Saturn, 13 of which are fighters
4 Genesis games(for the girlfriend, she's got a Genesis, but only two games)
And because I had to...Captain America and the Avengers on SNES
Yeah, I know, I blew a lot of money this month. I'm holding off on buying more games for a bit.
My Videogame Collection...

I actually managed to get it on ebay, but that was only after weeks of searching for it with no success - keep looking, it should turn up eventually. Also, try posting a 'want to buy' thread in the trading sections of various retro gamer sites like this one, shmups, sega-16 etc - someone in the community is bound to have a copy they're willing to part withhaasmaster wrote:I kind of hate to make this my first post, but how/where did you manage to find a copy of pulseman? I can't find it anywhere on the internet. Ebay, Froogle, Yahoo Japan Auctions, have all utterly failed me. I'm quite envious...Bootaaay wrote: Pulseman (JP) - Platformer
I'm not a collector, but I am a collector of good games.
It's futile buying a game you don't plan on playing or know you hate beforehand. It's a waste of money - unless you make a living out of it or for study purposes (I'm talking about you, Ack
).
I always play games I haven't played on an emulator first, and then give them a few minutes play so I can see if I think they'd be worth buying.
You didn't work all those hours for a copy of Shaq Fu - you deserve more than that, surely!

First of all, I agree that buying games just for collection purposes is pointless. I only buy (or dl) games I'd actually want to play. Though for the sake of money I'll probably stick to buying modern(ish) games and a few specific older games, relying on emulation and good compilations to save space and cash.
Secondly, gennss, how do you keep that many games in just one drawer?
Thirdly, just picked up a new game, Space Invaders Extreme for the DS. A lot of fun!

I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

But Shaq Fu was only 2 bucks...!Pingfa wrote:I'm not a collector, but I am a collector of good games.

Nah, it's cool. I actually go back and play all those titles, even the bad ones. Shoot, for some reason I really like Power Moves even though it's a terrible game. And even though Battle Blaze made my list of bad fighters, I still throw it in the SNES for a few minutes from time to time. Of course then it reminds me why I thought it was such a bad game, but I play it.
Of course, I realize most people aren't going to do what I do. I like collecting and I like playing. Outside of some of my recent purchases, I've spent at least a solid five to ten hours with each title, with many more ranging into much higher amounts(I've maxed out the clock on Final Fantasy Tactics several times, for instance). But I also like talking about them, so when I picked up all those SNES fighters, I got to do all three. Expect me to keep doing it too, talking about fighters is great.
Speaking of which, I've started getting Saturn games before my Saturn got here. Now I can just sit and look at my copy of Last Bronx. Man this is gonna be a long week.
What a rip-off!Ack wrote:But Shaq Fu was only 2 bucks...
Seriously, though, it is cool. You're in the justified category.
My knowledge of fighters isn't very extensive so I actually get something out of your infliction of pain.
I'm also not so knowledgeable on the Saturn library either, so you could help me fix that.
Get to it - you got customers waiting, you know?
