Well my anger has subsided for I beat MM8 today. On the last life, on the last sliver of health, AGAIN, like I did 2 weeks ago on MM7. Plus, no Energy tanks in MM8, so yeah. I'm done, that's it!

MM5 and MM6 were hard only because you had to do 2 sets of final stages. Yes, I know MM4 also had it, but the Pharaoh Shot made the final-final battle pathetically easy.

NO MORE 7 AND 8! YAY!

Brake pads will generally start squealing when they are worn thin. That actually happens on purpose. Grinding is bad though. But maybe just look that something hasn't gotten lodged between your brake caliper and the disc. I had a leaf blow in and sit just in the right spot that it was making a scraping noise when I went somewhere one day.

That's true. I was told my brake pads were getting thin, but I didn't think they would start squealing this early after finding out. Also I wouldn't be so annoyed with getting my brakes fixed, had this been maybe the first time I got them replaced (I'm at over 51,000 miles on my car in over 6 years of having it), but I've had them replaced at least twice, possibly 3 times before, so if I'm told that the squealing can be fixed by getting new brake pads/shoes, then this will be replacement #3/4 for my car.

Sounds like the disc is worn from negletting the brakes too long. Once that metal is chewed up, even replacement brake pads do not last long. If you can change oil then you can change Brake Pads and even the metal disc hub. Seriously, its not that hard to do, just be sure to use Jackstands and have a C-Clamp handy to compress the hydraulic piston. Some brake pads can be changed with a simple pop of a spring clip.
