Tonight you may as well call me Abe Froman.

If you had to google that name, shame on you.

For lunch today me and my mother drove 30 minutes to frederick for lunch and decided to go to this really amazing cuban restaurant. Ate the best tasting cubano I've had in my life and for dessert I had a nice cup of cuban coffee and a big portion of homemade flan.

I'm still full from lunch so I toasted a blueberry bagel and put some creme fraiche and apple butter on top. To balance out the richness I also had a bunch of grapes. Pretty good evening snack.

Hm. Need to think of a side dish for tonight's dinner. I'm taking salmon fillets, topping them with unsweetened whipped cream, dill and tarragon, wrapping them in phyllo dough, and roasting them (garnish with lemon and clarified butter).

Rice is a given. Steamed broccoli could work, but is a bit bland. Mashed potatoes with roasted garlic?

Any ideas guys (concerning a side dish)?

How about roasted vegetable? I'm always a fan of broccolini, asparagus, or brussel sprouts roasted with EVOO and some cracked sea salt. Sometimes I drizzle a little balsamic with it as well.

Agreed, roasted asparagus is awesome, also good with a little parmesan cheese sprinkled on top (and melted of course).

Asparagus isn't in its best season. Bacon wrapped brussel sprouts could be a tasty option. Perhaps Pancetta wrapped brussel sprouts would be even better.

Only a fan of roasted vegetables for certain dishes. Might cook some broccolini though, good suggestion. I usually cook it like Jaques Pepin; a little water, a little oil, bring to a boil and cover for five minutes. Never fails.

My vote goes for brussel sprouts. Love me some brussel sprouts.

I'm eating a Jersey Mike's provolone, salami, and ham sub on white bread with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano and a little vinegar. I love how fresh their ingredients always are. It's the same thing with Chick Filet's food, though I know they are getting a lot of hate right now

Did you get it "Mike's Way"?

If I'm going to get a sub, it's going to be a Mike's sub. Their Prosciuttini is quite incredible.
