Hitting part 2 at 600K is good; I get around the same score. Have you tried to find the hidden Alpha symbols? There are 6 of them, and they are always on the extreme left or right side of the screen in part 2. I'm trying to figure out the locations to help you guys out, and hopefully provide some screenshots.

500 - far left
1000 - far left
4000 - far right
10000 - far left
40000 - far right (immediately AFTER the 10k bonus)
80000 - ? It's there I've gotten it but need to get back to it.

This post will be edited once I get it all figured out - might need to get a bad run in to research this more.

Don't forget to wipe out enemy sets as quickly as possible, more missile guys will show up. There are 4 in part 2 alone, but if you can dispatch the 2nd orange ring quickly, you can get up to 3 more before the final boss appears, and thats almost 300K in extra points there.

You get points for time remaining, and I believe 100K per remaining life left. Again, this is all research, and this post may be edited at any time.

Yep, I get all the hidden symbols. I'm getting to the boss w/ all lives and about 1.2-1.3 and then die out quickly. It seems like if you die once there, it's just over.

Watch the superplay that is in the game. Select 5 Minute Game on the title screen, and let it sit for a few seconds. The demo that is played out shows a score of 2.79 million and you'll see the easiest way to defeat the boss.

As for the alpha locations, let me post up the screens of their locations to help others out. I've highlighted the locations with white outlined squares.

REMEMBER: Listen for that metallic clanking noise as you shoot !!!!

First one is as you enter to your left. 500 pts.

Next one is also on the left a short distance after the first for 1000 pts.

Image

4000 pts is to your right after the 4 missile guys (hopefully you get some pts!)

Image

10K is next on the left, again a short distance.

40K is immediately after the 10K on the right, same land mass.

The final one for the big 80000 is well hidden, because there's colored blocks all near it. I highlighted 2 squares because I couldn't get the exact location in time, but it's on the left hand side, I'm thinking it's the bottom most square.

Watch that in-game superplay! It helped me out tons.

Everytime I think i'm close, I either need to install something else...or give my credit card.

Here's my score for the week.

0

That was fun.

how nice of them to make a thread for all the "tards" who ran into emulation issues.

Uhhh, yeah. The boss kill is easy now. I sorta thought there was a reason for the small gap of ships that circled the boss, now I get it. I still die once on him though.

I'm still missing one of the bonus bells and only hitting the end stationary pod bonus very sporadically.

Up to 2.2mil.

Yay new month

I just wanted to thank everyone on our team and others who participated in STGT. That was a whole mess of awesome! New games I never played before and the caravan type rules!

Whoever changed the OP title is a genius. I expect the same this month!

Just had my original Xbox modded... Is this a game that I could find to dump on there? I know psx games only work so-so on Xbox emulators... But really am not very sure what works well since I didn't mod it myself
