If you get the Mario Land games then you might also want to consider the Wario Land games as well. They basically evolved from Mario Land.

I love the original Wario Land, I've never been too keen on the others but they're fine games. After the first they drop the Super Mario Land moniker and pretty much become their own thing. The first Wario Land still has a lot of Mario Land flavor to it though. If you like Super Mario Land 2 you would probably like Wario Land.WallCrusher wrote:Not gonna deny it.BurningDoom wrote:Super Mario Land 2 > Any Wario Land gameWallCrusher wrote:If you get the Mario Land games then you might also want to consider the Wario Land games as well. I do agree though that SML2 is a real classic. It's short and easy but it's a joy to play through. I remember being amazed at what an upgrade it was over the first Mario Land.

I really don't understand the love for Super Mario Land 2. It may just be people evoking memories from its initial release. I played through it for the first time recently and it bored me to tears. I can see how it would have been amazing when it was released, compared to the first game.

I hated the first game. I played it on release. I didn't play the sequel until recently and had fun with it. It was an easy game, but it was still enjoyable to play through. Wario games just have that kind of effect on people.Zing wrote:I really don't understand the love for Super Mario Land 2. It may just be people evoking memories from its initial release. I have wario land and the original zelda. I will get mario land if i find it cheap but right now im all on the ps1 and dreamcast fighters and shooters. That's all I'm going for right now.
Re: thinking of getting a gameboy
i just got in my clear gameboy the other day, and wanted to give it a thorough cleaning since the smell of cigarette smoke was strong. I took it all apart, washed the case in the dishwasher, scrubbed it afterwards, swapped out the dark grey A/B buttons with a set of red/maroon ones from a gray brick gameboy, put it all back together, installed a new screen cover, and I'm pretty happy overall. I'm thinking of ordering a the kit to backlight this thing. What do you guys think?
