I thank him and start to walk out the door. He calls after me to wait a moment, taps away at the keyboard some more and tells me that they have it at a GS in the next town over (another 30 minute drive, and NOT back toward home).

So I go to this store. It's not on the wall. The clerk checks his computer and tells me that he is sorry but they do not have it. BUT he helpfully offers that his computer tells him that another GS has the game in stock - THE ONE I JUST CAME FROM!!!!

I got Prime 5 years ago when I first started working for Amazon, and it's completely changed the way I shop. At this point instant gratification has shifted to "I can get anything two days from now". It's quite fantastic. Plus, I don't have to deal with the myriad of infuriating situations such as idiot in front of me in line, or idiot at the register, or idiot who doesn't know how to drive through a parking lot, or idiot who doesn't know how to park.
