My Videogame Collection...
My Videogame Collection...
Or where I feel inadequate due to my collection looking puny compared to many of the regulars on this board.
For whatever reason, I felt the need to start cataloging my collection of games (as well as other things I own), and since I finished it, I figured I might as well post it here. What to I hope to accomplish with this? Not a clue. Maybe a critique, maybe I just like lists, maybe this'll become another show off your collection dealie. But regardless, here it is.
Note that 1. This is only counting the games I own physical copies of at the moment (I've played many others over the years, and I have a lot more games when you count emulation, but who doesn't?), 2. I'm 21. That means I doubt I've been playing/collecting as long as some people here.

I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

we're not all collectors you know.
I was for a time, I haven't collected video games in years though. The only times I pick up games now a days is when something really really really good is on the horizon.
Latest addition to my collection:
Braid - XBLA
This game was REALLY good! I can't help but tell anyone to play it. Short, but well worth the 13 bucks.
Last title before that was I think Pikmin 2... it was a while after its release, but still I bought it like last December.

You've got some great games there, everyone should own a copy of Super Castlevania IV for their SNES
Also, what do you think of Body Harvest? I really enjoyed that game, one of my favourite 64 titles infact, but it doesn't seem to get the appreciation it deserves imo.
I've been collecting SEGA stuff for 3+ years now, despite playing alot of SEGA around friends houses I always seemed to gravitate towards Nintendo hardware and as such missed out on alot of great SEGA games, so when I was looking to collect some retro consoles SEGA's systems seemed like the only logical choice - here's my list of games so far;
Megadrive/32x/MegaCD
Saturn
Dreamcast

I usually only keep originals of my favorites. I just can't collect everything anymore.
I do tend to collect other items like magazines, artwork, books, etc that is related to games

haha -- we'll I'm not that bad (I probably have about 120 games), but I don't have a set of shelves that will take anyone's breath away.aaron wrote:bingo. i think i only own like 2 actual games anymore.racketboy wrote:I usually only keep originals of my favorites. If I would have guessed off the top of my head, I wouldn't have thought I had more than 100, but when it's spread over a number of platforms, its really not that much.

That's greatAck wrote:Honestly, about a third of my collection right now is all those fighters for the Super Nintendo. Since I picked up a Nintendo 64 and the Saturn is in the mail, I've bought a few other titles, but again...fighters. Heheh.
And there's nothing wrong with fighters in my book. While they don't command as high of a percentage of my collection, the genre probably has one of the best representations.
