What exactly did you not like about the scene? Seems convincing enough to me.
I was initially wondering if authorities could just come into the private room like that...

Mike has always kinda blown Walt off and that was no different.

Well they had surveillance going so they obviously had enough evidence for a warrant. They had all those pictures of the vault pinned up in hank's office.

I'm sure you could get a warrant, but would that allow you to just walk in there?

Dual control is recommended—or may be required by law—whenever a safe deposit box is opened without the renter's permission. This could include instances when a safe deposit box is opened due to

court order,
pursuant to search warrant,
rental delinquency on the box, or
branch closure.

Hmm, I'm going to go out and say what I felt for most of the last episode.

Jesse is going to kill Walt in the last episode!

This was a pretty average episode I thought.

Spoiler alert!
So what did you guys think of Walt this episode? Giving Jesse a ton of cash, 'getting out' and Hank finding the book Gale gave Walt  love this show <3

What a great cliffhanger, and what a great last two episodes (watched them together). This was undoubtedly one the finest "seasons" of the show to date.

One thing that this show does remarkably well is to create a palpable sense of tension for the duration of an episode. I literally feel on edge the whole time watching, feeling like anything can happen at any moment and knowing that it will be believable. I was sure, for example, that the scene with Jesse pushing the baby around the pool would result in some kind of tragic, shocking, violent, or otherwise pulse-racing moment. They've conditioned the audience to perfection and play on that all the time now. Bastards! Over two episodes in a row my blood pressure must spike up quite a bit.

Spoiler talk:
So now that Hank knows, the real question is: how well has Walt covered his tracks? Is there any evidence to convict him of anything beyond, perhaps, knowing who Gail was? It seems he MIGHT be able to explain that away in some fashion or another, given time to think. I am now even more intrigued by that beginning of the season foreshadowing at the diner! Arrgh, what the fuck is going to happen next?!
I really hope the next year speeds by or that AMC needs to boost ratings in a hurry and lets new episodes out a little sooner  Does anyone know if they are actually done shooting everything yet?

I feel like Jesse may represent the last little bit of good left in Walt. He didn't have to come see Jesse or give him his money. I thought that was an interesting scene. I think Walt wishes he could still connect with Jesse in some way. For all intents and purposes, Jesse's Walt's real son. I felt a little sad seeing that relationship disintegrate. Here's an ironic point that was mentioned on the Breaking Good podcast. Walt's current downward spiral really began back when Jesse was having issues with Gus due to the kid being killed by those gang members. That's where the friction between Gus and Walt really began. Eventually it would all lead to Walt killing Gus, screwing up the whole operation and having major problems with both Mike and the DEA in this season. It kind of all leads back to Jesse - arguably the real catalyst for Walt's deeper and deeper descent into darkness this season. It's not something really being focused on this season though

Anyway, great mid season finale. I really like Lydia. I don't know why. She seems to have drawn some hate from some fans. I love that we got an important, strong female character this season who is actually in the mix of things and not portrayed as oblivious (Maria) or just a victim (Skylar). She's one of my favorite new things this season and I love discovering that she was the one who was going to take Gus international and is now responsible for the boatloads of cast Walt has made.
