DSH- Sorry about your loss. My cat died two years ago and it was pretty hard on me. Although we could have saved it via surgery there was a 75% chance it wildly work and it would cost 1k.

Smile: Battle Garegga arrived yesterday...

Frown: ...kind of. I was at work and couldn't sign for it. The driver left a pick up slip with specific instructions to pick up at the post office and that they would not be attempting delivery again. Went to the post office on lunch today and they spent 20 mins looking for it. Found nothing. So they took down my name and number and said they would call after they talked with the driver to find out where the package is (LOL, yeah right).

Poor me. And poor Garegga. It will probably spend the next few years smashed up under some LLV seat.

That sucks :(

Smile: found me a copy of Demons Souls

Annoyed: the GameStop employee was pissed that I didn't want the greatest hits version for some reason and had a two sentence long argument about it.

"oh can I have the non-greatest hits version"

"it's exactly the same, why does it matter?"

"I don't like the red case"

"fine, whatever dude"

Doesn't seem like much but the attitude with which he said it was unbelievably rude.

I think (hope) I figured it out. There is a spot on the slip to fill out to request re-delivery, but the driver is supposed to leave the package at the office until he picks up the slip with a request to re-deliver. I think he brought it along with him in case I filled it out with a request to leave the package. At this rate I won't have it until the weekend. Oh wait... it's Labor Day. Shit probably won't be here until next week.

Patience is a virtue. It doesn't matter. You'll play it eventually...

Maybe so, but I have something big planned for the weekend and I don't want it sitting in the hot mailbox for 3 days.

Ridiculous. Better question, why does it matter to him which version you want? Its not like he'd have to put in extra effort to grab the black case instead of the red one while he's rifling through the drawer.

The only gamestop I visit with any regularity (which is not often at all really) anymore is on 120th and Washington. The guys over there are extremely friendly and I never have any problems.

Anyway...

Smile: Just got a slick new pair of adidas. :D

Frown: Work. My boss has given me 6 assignments since I got back from Canada. All of them are 'high priority'. I don't think he understands that when every thing is 'high priority' then the term loses some of its panache.

Smile: Played a particularly grueling game of Warhammer 40K today and damn near beat the guy who taught me how to play the game despite having a LOT of disadvantages. One of those losses that feels like a win just for how much fun the game was.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Been so damn hungry for the better part of 8 hours. Went through the starving rumble phase to stomach eating itself so I didn't feel hungry and now back to hunger pains. Waiting for pizza delivery sucks sometimes.

Good stuff: played volleyball with coworkers today as a celebration of the end of summer. My team won too. :)

I'm sad for you too.

You did the right thing, as difficult as it was.

Worried about the day I have to put Ripley down as there really aren't many options with her skin cancer.

One thing I'm not sure about is how they dispose of the bodies. I know it isn't exactly legal, but I would prefer Ripley to have a peaceful death at home and I then bury her in my backyard. That or place her in a pet cemetery.

I don't want some vet tech just dumping her in a pile of dead animals and have them hauled off to who knows where.
