Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
I don't understand the fixation with attaching pictures to a thread when you can use an image host like tinypic.

Photo Sharing sites are not permanent compared to a direct attachment.gtmtnbiker wrote:I don't understand the fixation with attaching pictures to a thread when you can use an image host like tinypic.

Neither is storing here. There's limited space so if you use it all up you're going to have to delete something and either break or go back and fix old posts. Else you'd have to use some different storage anyway.CRTGAMER wrote:Photo Sharing sites are not permanent compared to a direct attachment.gtmtnbiker wrote:I don't understand the fixation with attaching pictures to a thread when you can use an image host like tinypic.

Actually, I hot linked that specific photo. Most photo cloud sites automatically delete pics that have not been viewed after so many days.
Racketboy has generously increased the limit. Agree that the "temporary" pics need to be managed. I have removed pics in some of my older posts, except for Guides I wrote.Hobie-wan wrote:Neither is storing here. Each website has a different TOS (term of service). What you said is likely true for anonymous uploads. I have my pictures tied to my tinypic.com (free) account. All of my pictures are still present, some are older than 4 years.CRTGAMER wrote:

What gt said.
On the occasions where I've put up a picture that I want to make sure doesn't disappear, I just upload it to my photobucket account (also free, and easy) and link that from my post here using img tags. They won't disappear unless I delete them.
Whatever works for you, I'm not arguing about it or anything. I'm just saying.

How about sticky-ing that topic and renaming it just "Forum Issues Thread"?Hobie-wan wrote:Please stop putting notes on broken stuff in the suggestions thread. Suggestions are for changes and improvements. Put any new broken things you find in this thread instead:
