Just signed up for Xbox Live Rewards - I'm sitting at 780 points (the worst) so those 20 points for a free survey are huge in getting over this hump.
I will then have Bomberman Live and just upgraded to Gold so I'll be all set.

Re: Together Retro: Bomberman '94
While STGT may have been drawing me away from this, I have still continued to play '94. I have now cleared 4 of the 5 areas, and how cool is that walkthrough ability to finish areas up faster? Boss battles have been pretty tough here, but a pretty solid choice for TR.

The 5th area can be pretty mean sometimes, because those helicopters like to spawn close to where you start and kill you before you have maneuvering room. Luckily, the walk through blocks, remote bombs or line bomb powers can help if you have them.ExedExes wrote:While STGT may have been drawing me away from this, I have still continued to play '94. That Giant Enemy Crab at the end of world 3 can be a pain huh?
Re: Together Retro: Bomberman '94
YES. That crab has the power to make any player crabby (boo, hiss), definitely the toughest boss battle so far, with no real way to hit them unless you get lucky. The bat was slightly easier, if you stayed away from the bottom half of the screen.alienjesus wrote:The 5th area can be pretty mean sometimes, because those helicopters like to spawn close to where you start and kill you before you have maneuvering room. I haven't run across the remote power-up yet, but I've cleared nearly all the blocks in stages now that I can walk through them. It also comes in handy with enemies trapped inside them.

Re: Together Retro: Bomberman '94
The remote only appears in stage 2-4. It's easy to miss because it might accidently get destroyed by the volcano that shoots fire randomly. It's in the first section if you want to look for it. When you have it, bombs won't detonate unless you press the A button or an enemy attacks them.ExedExes wrote:YES. Happy to report Bomberman '94 is finished. Final boss was a trip.
I will now see how Mega Bomberman is and if Westone did a good job with the port.

Re: Together Retro: Bomberman '94
Turns out Mega Bomberman plays exactly the same as the PCE port. The only difference is the music & sound, the Genesis always had a lot of deeper bass, and that's about it.

Re: Together Retro: Bomberman '94
I tried to post to say this, but the forum wasnt working for me. The only major difference between the 2 is that the PCE one supports 5 player battle mode, whereas the Sega game only supports 4.ExedExes wrote:Turns out Mega Bomberman plays exactly the same as the PCE port.
