My daughter is starting middle school today. Summer is just about over. :(
We did have a great day at Water Country, Portsmouth, NH. Around 5pm, 4 fighter jets flew over from Pease AFB. That's always a sight to watch. I don't know what kind of plane it was since it has a long skinny nose.

It's been awhile since I attended one but I do enjoy going to air shows. It's all about the jets. Propeller planes are boring to me.

Um, in that case I retract my "you'll probably get to third base" statement. The girls in middle school are prude and all you can expect is a chaste kiss.

Propeller planes, boring? I've been a few hundred feet up in the air in a Piper Cub when the doors blew open. Trust me, propeller planes are not boring.

Gee Bee's are anything but boring too. Branch out buddy, plenty of propeller planes that are just as exciting as a jet, if only for the danger factor alone. There's no ejection button, you crash and you are ground human meat splattered on the pavement.

Supermarine Spitfire - elegance in flight design.

I might give my right hand for the chance to fly a P-38.

Not as agile, but my Grandfather was a bomber in WW2 flying the skies in a B-24. He and his crew was once shot down and the were marooned near Italy for two days before rescue. Surprisingly, at 93 he still tries to get on a B-24 every chance he has.

That said, boy would a quick trip in an SR-71 be amazing. Putting on a zero-g suit and going three times the speed of sound is something I will never have enough coin to drop on.

I would love to fly in one, the SR-71 is an amazing aircraft. Id also love to fly a Mig-29 and a zeppelin. But there is only one zeppelin that joe schmo pilot can get air time in, and Im not even a pilot yet.

Ticked - my soon to be mother in law just got fired from her hospital. Being a nurse there for seventeen years and having a spotless record is no match for a head nurse with a chip on her shoulder.

Frown:

So as I stated, I'm taking a half day. Before ending work, decided to use the head before leaving. Ever take a leak and once in a blue moon you'll get two streams for a second or two? Mine went two streams in a V formation sending urine against the wall and ricocheting onto my pants and shoes.

Almost as bad as having a sneezing fit while trying to drain the lizard.

The other day I put up the seat and didn't put it up far enough, so as I'm going, the seat started to come down and my instinct was to catch it ... let's just say I would've probably have been better if I just let it crash down. :(

ITT: men proving that maybe it's better to sit while peeing.

Not that I'm gonna do that.

If I awake at 3am and need to pee, I stumble to the throne and sit. I'm too tired to turn on the lights and wake myself back up knowing I'm going straight back to bed.

Only problem with this routine is that sometimes I fall asleep on the bowl while face palming.

I sit while peeing all the time. It's usually simply a case of being too tired to want to worry about aiming.
