My third pin- Williams FLASH!

Flash is up now. Runs great. I just love these early 1980s pins. The figure 8 entry is fun and the background noise really helps build tension while you try and knock down those targets. The thunder noise for dropping them feels perfect every time and keeps me coming back.

Lost World needs a Solenoid Board Replacement or repair. I'm working on that. Then I'll have all three up. Thanks for looking!

Well - here it is: Lost World by Bally. This is straight up old school pinball. The backglass in my opinion is one of the best. Needs to be cleaned up and overhauled but I need a project pin to help learn the basics. Just thought I'd share because I'm feeling great about it! This one ran me $350. Not a steal especially because it was 2 hours away, and because it's gonna need a few hundred to bring it back to tip top shape. The backglass is in great shape though - and the playfield is pretty nice considering it's over 30 years old.

Thought I'd share my most recent purchase. A 1981 Flash Gordon pin by Bally. I must say that after having played pinball on tons of home consoles nothing compares to the real thing. Since I got it last week, all I've been doing with my spare time is looking into other pins to buy. I'm hooked! :D

I'll be adding more information about it over the next few days if anyone is interested although it'll mostly be a copy of what's over at IPDB. I'm also excited to post my personal thoughts on it but in truth, even though I've had it for 4 days, it only got hooked up late last night and I've only played a few games so far.

Sure there's a little wear on the cabinet but the playfield was just replaced with an overlay replacement, it got new drop targets installed, the three flippers were re-built, and all the lights were replaced. It's not perfect but good enough for me. After all, a 30 year old pin should have some wear on it right!?

Paid $450 for it. A steal if you ask me.

I'd agree, that is a great deal. I've played that pin many times and it is really a lot of fun.

Pins are really great. I wish I had room for more than the one I have currently. Welcome to the club!

Nice.

I def. want one and seeing forum buds grab 'em enhances that want.

I have to remind myself to keep checking craigs.

Congrats, awesome grab.

Wait, you've never played on a real pinball machine before?

Pinball machines are really cool. I'd consider looking into it if I had the extra space

Pinball is awesome. That's what I played first when I was 2 or 3. Pops introduced me to pinball and afterwards I graduated to arcade video games.
Pinball should make a comeback. It's f'n great. :D

My dream pinball machine is the Star Trek TNG one, I'm looking forward to the virtual version of it that just got kickstarted but I'd die happy if I could own that table. I have very fond memories of it from childhood.

Theres only one company who currently makes pinball machines, STERN. All the other companies got out about 20 years ago because most places dont want to spend 5k on a machine that cost an arm and leg to repair. STERN still sells a fair amount of machines, but no where near what sales use to be. There is a great documentary on this called Special When Lit that is on netflix. I highly recommend it.

I love pinball and plan on buying a Jurassic Park or Dr Who pin in the future. A Joust pinball is my ultimate, but I will never own one. Id also love a Twilight Zone... Chupon I am insanely jealous
