Is there any store that still sells New PS2s?

My big PS2 finally bricked. I always needed an excuse to get a slim, and now that I finally have the excuse I realize no store has them online anymore. I remember them being $99 New at all the major stores. Just curious, are there any stores that may have some left over stock? I'm having trouble trying to find a new one for not a rip-off price. Amazon and ebay want $200+.



Edit: I went to the Sony website that says the MSRP of a PS2 is $99. Click on the "Buy Now" link and it takes me to amazon for $170... ugh

It's been discontinued, that would mean most all retailers liquidated their inventory.

The easiest route is to go on eBay or CraigsList and look for people selling sealed PS2 Slims. There's some right now that sit at $120 before shipping.

Really? They are still being sold in Euroland brand new, and most stores still have a large inventory of them. Want to trade me? I'll send you a PAL new PS2 and you send me a non sucky PSP (cause we only have the horrible fake PSP series here )

Basically the same modchip that makes pirated games work, makes consoles region free. My fat modded PS2 plays imports (I am in fact playing Megaman X Collection right now), so yeah, if you mod it you can play your NTSC games, no problem. Just don't forget to use a power adapter.

This is true in this part of the world as well.
In fact it's almost a surprise when I walk into any gaming/electronics store over here (South Africa) and can't find a new PS2 system.
They generally go for around $120-150. The higher price includes a second controller and up to five games which are bundled together with the system.

Yeah that's the downside for him. He's gotta use a stepdown converter and deal with PAL to NTSC issues (I don't believe that a modchip will solve the video issue AFAIK, just game regions being opened up).

My wal-mart still has them for $99. Try going to smaller towns near yours, they might still have stock left.

Found it! Sony Store still sells them. But no silver or white. I called them, they still have stock for $99. Yayyy
