I doubt it too, but I guess we might get some really great LD cell phone picks to find out with. :)

Mint means that there is no difference between a new one at all (assuming the new one is flawless). The second there is a mark or a crease, it is not mint. Most items are not mint if they have been shipped, unless they were shipped with extreme care.

I still think you are doubling your price for the value of a mint JP AES (sold in Japan I guess).

Yes the Aero Fighters 3 AES are fake. Dion was the one that outed the whole thing. This situation has actually put himself and Shawn(Head of Neo-Geo.com and the Neostore) back on friendly speaking terms

Haha, it's never ending drama there! How was it found that they were fake. Did Dion or someone buy one, open it up and realize that it was a bootie?

Also, after thinking for a bit, I feel bad about coming down on DC4ever about wanting to flip the AES for profit. As long as he doesn't gouge (which in my definition is charging above market price), he's okay. We've all done this. I've done it. Especially if he offers it here for something below the going rate, he's okay in my books. If it's as cheap as he's implying, he'd still make profit.

Neo-Geo.com would chew him up and crap him right out, but I don't think Racketboy should be that kind of a site. This is a fun casual place.

So DC4Ever, I apologize if I came down too rough on you (although I'm not sure if you even know I kind of did). You implied that you already have some AES games? What do you have? I mean, it IS a cool item to keep if you like collecting consoles. Just know that if you get serious about collecting all the good stuff for it, it's going to cost you into the 5-digits eventually.

However, there are about ten other threads to go along with this by now

That could very well be the case with a JP AES. I'm not much into importing so I tend to followed the price/rarity of North American releases much more closely. I'm pretty confident on my price for the US AES assuming it really is complete and flawless though. But like you said there isnt much of a chance its in that kind of condition.

So, DC4Ever, what are you paying for this minty Neo Geo system? You're in the spotlight, mate.

A grand total of....

125.00 with system mint, all plastics and guides,2 controllers huge and small a beautiful box and a bowling cart. I was really impressed since i had never actually played nor seen a neo geo upclose. It was pretty :P

Also I figured out it is a usa bios system with the gold. It also has a set of the memory cards all new in a credit card like slip.

No it's really mint. I know the meaning of mint and what i can say is this. The system and controllers are perfect never touched i could not even find a single mark under the light it looked like i just bought it and it was 1992.

The books and plastic were flawless not bends or creases or anything perfect. As for the box from what i saw it looked really close to mint although I know it was not perfect cause it had been moved around but was the system has been wrapped up in bubble wrap and in a plastic container at a storage unit for 10 years.

Im sure the box has some kinda fault to it. Hell even new systems today you can find something but it seemed beautiful and shinny and new.

I'll of course be posting pics when I pick it up. It's being held for me as we speak. I just wanted to get some more info on it.

A US Gold set for $125 is an extremely good deal. What's the story behind it?

If you do keep it, I'm sure one of us can come up with a list of affordable games for the under $100 range.
