Playing a bunch of Mega Drive games off a Mega CD?

Post by GagaMan »

Seeing the amzing job that has been done on the Sonic hack Sonic 1 Megamix, which has been ported to iso format and can be burned to work directly on an actual mega-CD, I thinking..is there a way to burn a disc full of mega Drive roms and run that on a mega CD using some compilation like the ones I got for the Amiga CD 32? This would be crazy handy if i had to store away the huge collection of Mega Drive games I own. Do collection torrents like this exist? I've had trouble finding anything like that so far..

There are Genesis flashcarts, in fact I saw one selling here in the forums (I think still for sale as it is pricey). But you probably would want a PAL one for the Mega Drive anyway.

Yeah, those things are pretty expensive anyway, I was thinking CDs because they cost...well, next to nothing.

People had better try out Sonic Megamix, by the way: http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_1_Megamix

I freaking LOVE Sonic 1 Megamix. It actually feels like the new Sonic game that Sega won't make anymore no matter how much we say that the new 3D games and the half-assed 2D attempts suck ass. And before you say anything, the latter is basically saying that the Sonic Advance series could be better, to be polite.

Yeah, your right, the Advance games played pretty much well enough but didn't feel right for some reason.
