This pleases me. I was planning on getting the game for awhile now, looks like I won't have to dish out $80. More and more I'm thinking that buying at launch is just never a good idea.

Wait... so RSG is releasing the game on both PS3 and 360 in Europe, yet in the US, its getting released exclusively on the former.

This doesn't make much sense from a business perspective. The JPN PS3 version has been out for some time and is region free to boot. Many shmup fans around the globe have already imported the PS3 copy as result... thus the consumer base should essentially be smaller compared to that of the 360 where US market isn't hampered by importation on the platform.

Oh well, Here's hoping the EU 360 release is region free...

I believe I'll hold onto my PS3 LE for a while longer. Being translated won't enhance the gameplay enough to justify another purchase.

Kinda wish this was just a 10 or 15 dollar downloadable PSN/XBLA game instead of a 40 dollar disc release, but it's nice to have some SHMUPS for the PS3! I'll probably pick it up eventually. In the meantime I guess I'll just play some of the awesome SHMUPS for the 360 that I downloaded!

so apparently PAL territories are getting it on xbox will rising star games make it work on NTSC consoles like they did for dodonpachi so i can import it?
