I never played this game before but I was looking to purchase this on VC, and tried it out on my DS (the items are garbled) I liked it so I decided to play it a little more via emulation.
This is a great game... now I wonder if I should get it for VC or will it look worse on a huge screen?

I broke down and bought it... Wow it looks great on the HD screen.
The graphics look clear and crisp, meaning I can see every 8-bit pixel, and with the classic controller its a blast.
Playing this reminds me why classic games are better, focus was on challenge. I played through the first cave and thought this is going to be easy... then it took me about 3 continues to get through the second one, and about 5 continues to get through the third one...
Old NES is great to pick up and play in those few moments when the newborn sleeps.
