Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Older British cars with Lucas Electrics, doubly so.

There are so many awesome carts out there.

You can literally find them for a couple of bucks. If you want complete in box, you can do that too. But you can get much more games for the same price of just one boxed one.

You can probably find some games at a relatives house.

They are quite common and just as easy to get replacement stuff for it.

I meant that I bought one clone system, and that one was missing a couple of screws and it was loose. I traded it in for another clone system and that one wouldn't even stay on for a second. Thanks for everyones quick replies!

Yes. But holy guacamole~ Get some of the dog bone controllers. Those original square ones leave dents in your palms and I don't know about most of y'all, but I don't game on the NES every single day and my Nintendo hands are not worn in anymore.

One of my roommates have a clone system for the NES (it's that red one, not sure the name) and while it's ok... I still prefer the original NES hardware. On HD TV's, the picture and sound are a HUGE difference when playing a game. I feel the picture is more jucky and the sound is just... off. I would just invest in an original NES or better yet, a top loader and have it modded with AV Output. Though the Top Loader isn't cheap (about 100 dollars on eBay) you do get what you pay for.

Nes are great systems to have but unfortunately, they are not the most reliable especially a front loader. If you are buying a front loader either ask the seller to make sure it works otherwise buy a new pin connector.
