There's a rumor that the new PS4 will be able to pull a 4k resolution. Which is okay, if you have a $20k TV. I seriously don't get why a large group is hailing this as something they can reign over the world. Its cool and all, but until I can afford it, I give 0 Fucks.

I'm reminded of how US publishers would have to actually request that japanese devs make sure to program word wrap into the text display systems of their games.

I know what you mean. I helped translate some stuff years ago and the font issues were horrible. Fortunately it's not much of an issue these days it seems (though some US games have really ugly fonts).

So what PC video cards do 4k now? If 4k has been done on the PC for at least a year or so, I'd say it's not that much of a long shot for the PS4 as Sony probably won't make it cheaper than $400.
