So I made a huge wishlist!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

So I made a huge wishlist!

Post by Kevman »

NOTE: I'm not buying from anybody yet so don't come to me with offers on game that are on my list.

Anyway I made a huge want list of all the games I want to collect over perhaps a five year period. Mainly just for fun and to occupy my time. I'll add more games and fill in information as I go along but for now here it is.

Woah, that's a lot of games. I made a similar list in my Google Docs. I would suggest finding the average price for each game, so you have an idea of which one you want to get next.

I've got a list as well, though it's considerably shorter...mainly because on some consoles I just don't know what all is out there. That, and I can never remember names of games I want when trying to make one of those lists. It just doesn't happen.

I put all of these in an Excel and have the genre, price, year released etc. So far the only one I've completed is the Super Famicom/Nintendo and don't have the prices yet. It just takes so damn long!

Big list.

I just keep a mental list. When I see something I want, I'll recognise it.

For really mainstream games I'll remember, but I'm always paranoid I'll miss out on a game and never see it again. This helps me stay on top of that.

^ Ditto. So, to make sure I don't forget about the game for a long period of time, I have documents on my computer for each system listing must-haves. Underneath those, I might have a list of "potential must-haves"

I also have, for convenience, documents titled "[name of system] games that are better on the [name a system]" to make sure I don't end up wasting money on an inferior version when I could have had a superior port.
Whenever I find or find out about a game that I think is a must-buy, I add it to the list.

I'm sure there are some things that I played once, then completely forgot about.

Hopefully I'll never get a duplicate by accident.
