Should I just get the original nes?

Post by someone3760 »

Should I get the origiinal NES? I bought a copy of one and it was missing something inside, traded it for another copy and that one wouldn't work. Thanks.

Get a top-loader. Nothing beats its rugged reliability.

Only problem is it only has RF out, so unless you mod it, or get it modded, that's your only option.

go with the original it is the best most the time if the red light is blinking all that it needs are new 72 pins put in. Once thats done it plays like brand new. It only takes 15 minutes to fix. I have 5 or 6 i have to do then i can find them new homes.

All of the clones have their fair share of problems usually with sound, color and durability. It's worth it to just pick up the real deal.

It's one of the greatest consoles of all time and despite being over 25 years old, it still has a library of games every bit as playable as a lot of the stuff that has come out since (and a fair amount of games that are even better than what has followed). I love the NES. I've played more games to completion on the NES than any other system. It's definitely worth owning.

Am I the only one here who is totally confused at what this guy is trying to say exactly? Does he mean a clone system, or is he saying a copy of one as in "a copy of that game", but misappropriating the word "copy" to a piece of hardware? What did he mean by "missing inside"? Was a piece of the motherboard or the cart connector missing (how the heck would that ever happen?), or did he mean the AC adapter or RF/AV cord?

Either way, yes, get an original working NES.

What did he mean by "missing inside"?
I thought he meant that the system's soul had departed it's plastic body.
