What do I need to emulate Saturn Bomberman?
Re: What do I need to emulate Saturn Bomberman?
SSF has crazy input lag. I've tried various versions on at least 3 different computers. All have so much input lag that I wouldn't recommend playing anything not turn based with it. I wouldn't recommend it for Bomberman.

You're the first I've heard mention that. Are you using USB adapters for game controllers or what are you using for the controller??ZenErik wrote:SSF has crazy input lag. I have tried known good USB arcade sticks (2 QanBa Q4 RAF, Hori HRAP VX, Hori HRAP V3, MadCatz SFIV stick), USB adapters for Saturn controllers, PS3 controllers, etc. No problems with other games and/or emulators. SSF is just unbearable. Other folks have mentioned it too. Though admittedly I haven't seen a ton of complaints. Some on this forum as well as on the shmups forum.D.D.D. wrote:You're the first I've heard mention that. Perhaps you'll have or have had better luck than me? It could be game dependent as well, but the half dozen or so games I tried all had about 1/2 second input lag. Which is HUGE for anything where timing is key.

Well yeah .5 second is pretty f'd (sounds like a NES on an LCD). I gotta try it out again and see. I guess I'll use my USB Saturn pad first and go from there.ZenErik wrote:I have tried known good USB arcade sticks, USB adapters for Saturn controllers, PS3 controllers, etc. No problems with other games and/or emulators. none of my 9 controllers lag...
Re: What do I need to emulate Saturn Bomberman?
SSF seems to work fine with me. I use a Xbox 360 controller and I havn't really noticed any input lag.

Any special settings I should be using? Games like Radiant Silvergun are pretty much unplayable when I've used SSF on various setups. Way too much lag.Godot102 wrote:SSF seems to work fine with me. I use a Xbox 360 controller and I havn't really noticed any input lag.

All 5 of my gamepads work beautifully on SSF. What type of USB ports are they (1.0, 2.0), and are you using a USB splitter? What are you're computers specs? What have you been doing about the autofire buttons that SSF forces you to configure? What is your favorite color?ZenErik wrote:Any special settings I should be using?
