go to step one and browse the file.

on step two where it says 'customize' put 80

The site will shrink your pic to a size that's racketboy approved.

Very Handy! Other sites have Avatars that are way too big, that just kills the Forums. Great that Racketboy has the restrictions putting the focus on the replies.

A couple alternatives that might help, both for resizing offline.

Mac users have a resize tool built in OSX iPhoto.

PC users can download freeware Infraview. Very compact and easy to use.

MS Paint or gtfo.


Image hosting sites (like imgur, for example) have resizing tools as well.

My main problem is the measly 6kb size limit. I had to use imageoptim to get my avatars down to size.

I use Photoshop. Save for Web and Devices feature turns 64kb image into 4kb image. I love that program.
