SSF ll Online for Wii

Post by foxhound1022 »

I was browsing through VC on my Wii, and I decided to search by Genre. Under this there was one titled Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Apparently, they added online matches to the Sega Genesis version of Super Street Fighter 2!

I'm gonna download it, and see how it works.

That's what I've heard. Don't know how it plays though...

(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

I just downloaded and tried to find a match against an opponent to no avail.

Like usual, it seems like friend codes are the only way to get matches.

That is still kind of cool that Nintendo is willing to add online to various VC classics like PSN and XBL has implemented with older games.. Now I'm curious to see what other games added multiplayer on VC..

Technically, it had online back in the day via XBAND. I don't know if Nintendo's decision had anything to do with that, but if so the relatively short list of games supported (listed in the wikipedia article) might be ones to check.

Well, so did Killer Instinct and Super Mario Kart but N hasn't done anything about that. Xband was awesome back in the day.
