Gaming on a Big Screen - Only in Canada?

I know in the states that you can rent a stadium where I live and like show buisness presentations and etc. I think you can rent it out but I'm pretty sure you prob need wireless controllers and etc so yeahhh. I don't think doing this with a genesis or Saturn will work.

Like an outdoor football stadium? That would host some serious Powerpoint presentations.

This sounds a little expensive, especially if I wanted to keep it to myself...but a party would work, I suppose. Anybody up for a trip to Canada for a huge Halo 3 party?

I remember ads in my local movie theater when it switched to DLP and upgraded the seats for hosting meets, sports events and video gaming. I haven't heard about it much since then, though. Let's face it, most everyone know someone with a projection home theater setup, so why rent when you can goto a firends house?

They have been doing this in my hometown for a very long time.....

I live in Cambridge (UK) and you can hook up absolutely any console you want in my local cinema (provided it passes a safety inspection).

For my 20th Birthday, i hooked up my Dreamcast, PS2 and Gamecube and much fun was had by all. Best. Day. Ever.

Haha naw I meant one of the stadiums in the movie theaters. I dunno if there's another word for them but I just call them stadiums

Saturn Bomberman is definitely difficult to fit 6 or 8 guys together close enough so that everyone can see the TV.

Would shooters ("shmups") work better on a 50-foot screen, or worse? I guess worse because you'd have to move your head around too quickly, and you wouldn't be able to take in the patterns all at once.

The best thing for me would be to see a great driving game up there. Or Command and Conquer, or Supreme Commander. Something that could use all that area and show all the little units.
