lol, You should hold out for a Zelda prototype. It'll go a bit further than even an NWC cart:

lol no not even close, it was a pack in game with your super nintendo. its just a very popular game. price =/= rarity, although i have heard that the boxed version is somewhat rare because most people got the cart only version with their super nintendo.

It had a 'Million Seller' re-release. It is not rare at all. Whatever guide you were looking at is completely wrong. Expensive does not equal rare and rare does not equal expensive. Just like price doesn't equal quality either.

I'm guessing he's using this site: http://www.rarityguide.com/

From what I can tell by browsing through they're using eBay prices to judge rarity % which is just dumb. Seems like it's a site designed for re-sellers and not collectors.

Rarityguide is completely awful and unreliable in every way.

I wouldn't even TOUCH that place for determining the rarity of anything. The site considers Super Mario World more rare than Earthbound for crying out loud.

Try http://www.digitpress.com/. Keep in mind guides are just guides and none are 100% accurate but this at least more respected by collectors and has a more common sense rating system instead of a meaningless 1-100 scale like rarityguide.

Also Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine score a 1 out of 10 which means:
R1: These are the items you can find or BUY anywhere. When you find a bunch of games, these WILL be in the pile.
I'm not trying to be mean, just giving you the facts straight. :(
