Retro SEGA "True Bit" Sequel

Post by SpaceBooger »

With Capcom remaking Megaman 9 a NES port, what Sega game (Gen, or Master Sys) would you want a "true bit" sequel too?

I am thinking Shining Force III. Take the story from the all 3 Saturn disks, especially since the US only had the first one, and remake it in true Genesis 2d style without surpassing the graphics and sound of Shining Force 2.

That would be pretty sweet. Maybe they could inprove the graphics and sound just a little though.

I was thinking another Thunder Force game done 16-bit style would be awesome.

EDIT: 16-bit sequel to MUSHA and Robo Aleste!!

I'd like to see an Alex Kidd "true bit" sequel. Maybe Alex Kidd in Shenmue World.

if they made a new Phantasy Star (V) or Shinobi in the Sega Genesis style, it would be completely awesome.

How about Sonic? It'd be nice to finally have the first good console sonic in a decade.

I would really dig a new Shining Force in Genesis form. That would be an instant buy for me. That and a new Vectorman.

Yeah I was just thinking earlier today that a new 2D Sonic or Mario would be excellent. I've never been a Mega Man fan so I won't be picking MM9 up, but an updated 2D Sonic...man I wouldn't be able to wait to get my hands on it.

Play the sonic advanced games those are pretty rad.

Hmmm I wanna see Vectorman 3. I wonder why they just stopped making them.

Sonic the Hedgehog.

It would be much better than their feeble attempts at a 3D Sonic game.

Also, I've been having dreams of a "lost" Sonic game for the Genesis. It's basically similar to the later games (Sonic 3 and Knuckles), and the background is a mountain-like setting. And the ground is a pale green (grassy area?) and Sonic is trying to stop a typical Robotnik boss battle.

Also, if anyone is looking to collaborate with me on a Sonic game, I can make up for my lack of tech skills with my wealth of ideas. I'll start another topic for it, though.
