VGA grading has nothing to do with anything.
Any daily price is part of the daily current market value of a given game. I do agree on the VGA grading, it is silly and over inflated. However, it is in fact part of the market that some desperate or ignorant will pay. Just as Swap Meet prices and the Metroid M sale example at major retailers, ALL price information as much as possible should be compiled to give a true assessment. An impossible job but at least the major retailers should be part of the picture, especially when a game is on sale. Then VGPC will be a good one click source to get a better idea of a game's worth on a daily basis.
VGPC's prices are on a monthly basis.

So you are saying a buyer should shop around some of the video game vendors before buying a relatively new game? Shocker

Vgpc is just a rough guide, it can't account for temporary sales. I find it also more useful for older and non super rare games who's prices have settled. No one is suggesting vgpc is a deal finding site. Check cheap ass gamer or amazon and gamestop sales for deals. You are trying to judge vgpc on something it isn't trying to achieve.

Some people may throw a hissy-fit about the story (which, as far as video game stories go, is actually far better than the dross many vieo game fans hold in such high regard...), but I thought that it was a very fun game with very good graphics that played very similarly to Super Metroid on the SNES. It was a bit too linear at times - and unlike previous Metroid games - I felt like there was a hand on my back pushing me from point to point. I enjoyed the combat, however, and the boss battles were particularly enjoyable.

In any event, I paid far more than $5 for my copy of the game, and I definitely fel that I got my money's worth out of it. Enjoy!
As a video game it's above average.

As a Metroid game it's a bit of a travesty. The story was a character assassination of Samus on the level of what Star Wars did to Darth Vader. The gameplay had its moments as an action title but was a step in the wrong direction for the series.

That's all I'll say about that, my feelings on Other M are way too charged and biased.

I haven't finished the game, so I can't judge the story. I will say so far it did seem kinda corny but as far as game play goes i thought the 2D to 3D switch was awesome and to me it felt like a classic style metroid game just revised.

I love it, the 2d platforming is great. This game was the reason why I modded a Remote with a NES gamepad. :D

Say no more. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and the merits of the game and its sotry have been very thoroughly explored in other threads.

$10 on Amazon was good for me. :D
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

I have not finished this game yet so maby im not qualified to make this judgement yet but a a character assassination as bad as anakin turning into darth vader no freaking way! That was horrible and this story and her may be corny and not exactly what the gamer's had in mind but it is by no means that bad from what i have seen.

Really no one knew her true background story and how it would play out. Hell the first metroid we did not even know that she was a she cause it made no mention of it. I do think the dialog could have been done better and I admit there is something about the games story that just does not quite feel right but I'd say the game like you said is above average and infact i give it an high score on gameplay it felt very classic to me.

Once I finish the game I think i'll make an review and come to my conclusion. I have only played 7 hours so far so maby when im done i'll agree with that statement but so far im not at that point at all.

Oh yeah. Well, I payed full price - $50 - for AD&D: Heroes of the Lance (NES) back in 1991. Adjusted for inflation, that is like paying $84.11 today...Compared to my AD&D: Heroes of the Lance purchase, the $45 I spent on Metroid: Other M at launch was a total bargain!
