Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Never really pissed her off, it was more of a case of me seeming weird or obsessive. We had conversations and texted, but at one point she was weirded out when I replied with a heart to one of her texts. We kept talking, then it fell of a bit. Then a bit more, eventually getting to a point where we didn't talk. I had my phone break later, and it continually sent the last thing I had sent to her to her phone, and she thought I was bugging her. She confronted me about it, we argued, haven't talked since. I offered to start over, but she never replied.SamuraiMegas wrote:What did you do to piss her off??????
I think she's just not interested. Like I said, quit caring until the dreams popped up.

I have recurring dreams about a certain female too. It's been quite a while since I've so much as talked to her, but I can go through days, weeks, even months of not consciously thinking about her, and I'll still have dreams about her. It's like, she's there but I can't get to her for whatever reason. Which ironically is how I've felt the whole time I've known her. We did actually "date" back in high school, but things got kind of fucked up. We tried to work things out on several different occasions, but long story short, I'm a dumbass. So things never really worked out. haha

I'm not going to pretend to have any real psychological authority, but my guess is that subconsciously you hadn't gotten over her and it's surfacing in your dreams.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Never really pissed her off, it was more of a case of me seeming weird or obsessive. Essentially the same thing, minus the fact that I never dated her. I wouldn't say you are a dumbass, but I sure am.harper wrote:I have recurring dreams about a certain female too. I was afraid of that. Hope I don't see her around too much when school starts.BoringSupreez wrote: I'm not going to pretend to have any real psychological authority, but my guess is that subconsciously you hadn't gotten over her and it's surfacing in your dreams.

Just saw the thread and was actually going to post this in a nutshellBoringSupreez wrote:I'm not going to pretend to have any real psychological authority, but my guess is that subconsciously you hadn't gotten over her and it's surfacing in your dreams.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Never really pissed her off, it was more of a case of me seeming weird or obsessive. Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with my kids this morning and couldn't help but think that the writers were point-n-click adventure game addicts.
In the show the crew gets four random items and they have to use them for random things. Example: using a marshmallow to break a fall from a great height.
The use of these mouseketools (sp?) is something straight out of a Sierra or Lucasarts adventure games.

Hell, this might be the reason all by itself. You've mentioned a couple of times in the past few days that you're stressed about starting the new school year right?Forlorn Drifter wrote: I was afraid of that. Hope I don't see her around too much when school starts.
Maybe that anticipation is what's getting to you. You're expecting to run into her and its reminding you of what happened.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Today is the first day of school. Also, for the first time this year it actually feels like fall outside. Some of the trees are turning colors (no doubt doing so early because of the drought), it's cool, bright, and the birds are quiet. Really, it's the perfect day for the school year to begin.
However, for some reason I find this all depressing. I'm not going to school this year while all my peers are, that could be it. Or maybe it's that I'm used to dreading fall (the start of school), and so I'm depressed by habit. Possibly, it's because the past several years something bad has happened in my life around that time. I don't know, there's just something about September-November that makes me feel down. Looks like I'm headed into round five. Hopefully when I move away from home it will be a big enough shakeup in my life to make me lose that routine. Has anyone else ever had depression tied to the time of year?

It's referred to as "seasonal affective disorder".BoringSupreez wrote:Has anyone else ever had depression tied to the time of year?

When having psychological issues, it's always comforting to know that at least there's already a name for it.
