What sound system are you using? Knowing you it is hobbled together out of several lesser sound systems.Luke wrote:I don't think the theater sound system could get louder, but it did.

It was the theater sound system, so I have no clue. The theater has a plaque near the entrance touting "DTS Digital Waht'samahjig" or something close to that. I can ask the projectionist, I just know that shit was LOUD.fastbilly1 wrote:What sound system are you using? Sorry if I'm being confusing. I have my own private viewing theater in house with a digital projector and dolby digital something point something sound system, but the "personal theater" I used yesterday was in a cineplex. I just handed over the discs and said "play".
Still had to pay for popcorn; white person problem.

Oops, sorry I got confused. I thought you were watching the flicks in your home theater. What theater lets you bring in your own movies? Thats awesome. We have one near me that requires a rental through Swank, and paying alot to rent the place.Luke wrote:It was the theater sound system, so I have no clue. Without an in, my movie night would not have been financially possible. Luckily I have an in and Sunday night wasn't necessarily selling ten tickets per theater. SLEEPWALK WITH ME
I really enjoyed this comedy about a struggling stand up. It's nothing ground breaking, but has a great and cohesive story and I'd put in on my top 10 movies of 2012 list.
But there is one annoying thing. Plenty of cameos, but no one goes by their real name, even though we know who they are and the movie tends to lean towards being "real". Instead every one gets a goofy name, say if Will Smith was in this he would be called "Bill Giff".

Stargate. I saw it years ago when it was new. I liked it, but not as much as I did this time. After seeing the T.V. show, there's more meaning behind a lot of it, which made it that more entertaining.

Yeah, I really liked this one and Fifth Element. To me it seemed like they had a similar style. I have seen some of the SG1 series episodes, but the movie is quite better. This movie along with fifth element and matrix, were some of the good sci-fi dvds of that era.
But the whole series and universe of stargate has a great source material.
dont forget the special scenes on the DVD's theres a little more stuff that make the movie just a little more interesting.
