I'm doing quite a few (at once)!
Call of Duty (PC) - game of the year edition
Medal of Honor Allied Assault (PC)
Call of Duty Finest Hour (GC) - one more mission left
Medal of Honor Frontine (GC)
I also got Medal of Honor Rising Sun today (GC) so there will be lots of FPS action to come.
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

COD1 and MOHAA are classics, albeit ones which very much show their age. Frontline is decent as long as you focus on the music while you play and pretend it's a really nice looking PS1 game. Finest Hour is mediocre, and Rising Sun sucks. I should know, I sunk way more hours into Rising Sun than any 11 year old boy should have. If you're interested in a decent Pacific Theater WWII shooter from years ago, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault is a sadly forgotten option. It came out in 2004 and was totally overshadowed by the likes of Half-Life 2 and Far Cry.ExedExes wrote:I'm doing quite a few (at once)!

I am enjoying COD and MOHAA very much, they're both very immersive and I can really feel like I'm there and everything else doesn't even exist, not many games do that for me.BoringSupreez wrote:COD1 and MOHAA are classics, albeit ones which very much show their age. I saw mixed reviews on Rising Sun, but I got it complete for a good price so I couldn't pass it up. I really wish there were more FPS'es that focused on the Pacific side. Playing all these games, I know a lot about Germany though now than I ever had before

Pacific Assault is nice, but it will make you earn your victories, it suffers from issues with the AI partners, and it has a clunky save system which I discovered would sometimes delete the awards I had earned. I picked it up as part of the Medal of Honor 10th Anniversary set, which also included the two expansions for MOHAA as well as MOH: Airborne, which suffers from technical issues but is my favorite of the series.

I wasn't aware of such a collection, but I just looked it up on Amazon. That's a great package similar to the Command & Conquer X set. Expansions to MOHAA, plus there's a Pacific theater game, and another one I've never seen! Nice! Might have to consider it.Ack wrote:Pacific Assault is nice, but it will make you earn your victories, it suffers from issues with the AI partners, and it has a clunky save system which I discovered would sometimes delete the awards I had earned. I'd recommend it. I skipped most of the Medal of Honor games, so when given the chance to get a handful of WWII fps goodness in a single dose, I jumped at the chance. I have not regreted it.

I remember trying Frontlines after Allied Assault.
Talk about a dip.

It's definitely better to play that one first. Like I said, it's basically one of the PS1 MOH's running on better hardware.Xeogred wrote:I remember trying Frontlines after Allied Assault.

Resistance 2 has been a major disappointment so far.
