I don't care for his work either. I reviewed The Living End at one point in this thread, and thought that it was generally a waste of time.Mendoza wrote:100% agree with you on that. I had rented it, so I was a bit more reluctant to give up on it. After about 20 minutes I started fast forwarding through hoping to find some interesting bits with less insipid dialog. That didn't happen. I finally just gave up on it because it was so terrible.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I've yet to see a movie that deserves a 0 on a numbered scale. I share a similar opinion with the movie Kids. Its probably better overall than Doom Generation, but I got about the same reaction to it.

Considering movies with a 0 rating, everyone would be doing their brain a favor if they read Ebert's YOUR MOVIE SUCKS. I agree with him most of the time, and it's a fun read. Yes, Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo deserves 0 stars.

Amazing Spider Man has Emma Stone in knee high boots and thigh high socks. Therefore it is a worthwhile movie.

Kinda. I really did like some parts of it like the 1st person spidey-crawling and action. I liked Parker & Stacy but almost all of the other actors either felt like they weren't for the role or they didn't do good character development. And it did feel a little long and unfinished. Maybe I have too much of the 2002 Spidey left in my head. I liked that one 100%, no issues with Tobey either. I just dunno. I liked this one too but, would I watch it again? I'm good.Luke wrote:D.D.D. wrote:Gonna go see Amazing Spiderman tonight~Ammarightorammaright?D.D.D. wrote: Saw Amazing Spider-Man last night![]()
What did bug me is they give away the ending in the f'n preview.
I had fun but not 100%. I give it a 70%.
What was really weird was that for all the Hollywood movies I watch here, this was the first one I saw that had a Japanese theme song at the end.

You can see that online and not have to pay $12.50 per viewing, and a still last longer than ten seconds.MrPopo wrote:Amazing Spider Man has Emma Stone in knee high boots and thigh high socks. Therefore it is a worthwhile movie.
I didn't not like Amazing, but it left me thinking "did any die hard Spidey fan enjoy or need this?". Yeah, some parts were cool, most action scenes looked so fake I couldn't believe people spent money on the effects, and the actors did a great job with sub-par writing.D.D.D. wrote:Kinda.Luke wrote:D.D.D. wrote:Gonna go see Amazing Spiderman tonight~Ammarightorammaright?D.D.D. wrote: Saw Amazing Spider-Man last night![]()
SMB THE MOVIE Goombah Lizard looked dumb. But whatev's, all a set up for the sequel.
Maybe that's why I think Amazing is so "meh". The ending, the entire movie for that fact is all build up. "SPIDER-MAN BEGINS", but without an ending.

The People vs George Lucas - it was an excellent little film and made me realize three things:
1. Lucas ruined his dream with A New Hope - he wanted to be a director very badly and got stuck producing after that.
2. If I ever create something that takes off, I will accept fan input to a degree.
3. Prequels were to the younger generation, what the original trilogy was to us. And you know what, if it lets another generation enjoy the same world I enjoy, that is awesome. Its just like the new series of Dr Who. It is vastly different than the original (ej the Third Doctor got into fistfights, often), but it got a whole new group of people to enjoy those madcap adventures. And in the end, thats all that matters. Well no, Greedo did not shoot, after that, thats all that matters.

I highly disagree. The prequels are far less important to today's kids than the original trilogy was to people my age and older when we were kids.fastbilly1 wrote: 3. Prequels were to the younger generation, what the original trilogy was to us.

I know enough people who were in the 5-10 age group when Phantom Menace came out and that is their favorite Star Wars movie. I have a cousin who was not allowed to watch Star Wars (super protective parents) who was 9 when the films came out and it was his first of the films.BoringSupreez wrote:I highly disagree. Ofcourse the prequels are less important cinema historywise, but there is an entire generation who loves them.
